where to stay
Welcome to Panoly
Well, if you want exclusivity and privacy, The Panoly Resort Hotel is the best place to stay at. Ahem ahem, yes I do work for this company..but yeah, I love the place. It's beautiful, and the place is enormous. 3.5 hectares. I love the deluxe rooms. Buffet breakfast is just a killer. I so0o0 love the food.=) It's isolated from the main beach, but it isn't that far. If guests would like to go to the main beach, we offer complimentary shuttle service. If you want to make reservations just message me.=)
If you want to stay at the main beach though, try Boracay Regency (panoly's #1 competitor, im so bad haha), Friday's...For the ones with tight budget, you may try Sandcastles, or Il Portico. Affordable but still a nice place to stay at.

Where to eat
As i told you, Panoly serves really good food. I enjoyed their breakfast so much.
yum yum.
this is the breakfast. the french toast is just soooooo good. love it. i wanted to come back for more, cause there were still some food that i wasnt able to try, but my stomach says otherwise.hehe

If you're in the main beach, go for Jonnah's Fruit Shakes. You'll waste your stay if you won't try their fruit shakes. They're really good. Smooooth to the palate. There are alot of varieties of shakes, but I strongly recommend the Mango Rum. Yum yum. My family and I had a late lunch here. Never thought their food would also taste that gooooood. I'm not really a fan of curry, but their beef curry is just the best. The set meal that my mum and dad ordered was really really good too! Ahhh....this is the life. (",)

sip sip sip. yum yum yum.=p

If you're craving for starbucks coffee, unfortunately there isn't any here in Bora. BUT, there's Cafe del Sol - the substitute for Starbucks. Rumor is that the manager of this cafe used to work for Starbucks. Hence, the coffee here tastes alot like Starbucks coffee. They're right. I ordered Caramel Macchiato. And yeah, it tastes like Starbucks' Caramel Macchiato - for a cheaper price. Medium cup is at P90.00. Cool huh?
Starbucks substitute.
Caramel macchiato, medium.

Where to shop
Yeah, i think everyone knows that there's the D'Mall. This place has been pretty much commercialized. They got Rudy project, Nothing but Water, Ice Monster, a deli shop that is similar to Santi's, a convenience store. They even got to put a mini ferry's wheel. Hehe.
Stuff here can be pretty pricey, but hey, if you're too lazy to haggle and would want convenience, this place is for ya.
The shop that I loved the most is The Wet Shop. When I was with my officemates two weeks ago, we got to discover this place. Actually I noticed this shop last november, but just shrugged off since their stuff are really expensive. but my officemate happened to purchase a bag from them for P75.00 only. It's made of plastic, it's perfect when you're there in Bora. Really nice, I like it. But if you'll use it here in Manila, you'd look like a highschool girl. hehehe. I also got to buy coin purses. Made of real leather. Price range for this is P79-89.00. Bought several as christmas gifts. hehe. I saw a cowboy hat when I was there; When my family and I came back there for Christmas, I finally bought it for P230.00. Love it!
Cowboy breakfast
When I bought this hat, I spoke to the sales lady and told her that they should put up another outlet, this time in Manila. She called this lady and told her what I said. Then I happened to speak to her. She was the owner of the shop. Cool. They are the ones who own Yvonne's (Girls you should be familiar with this brand. hehe). She said they are putting up one at Virramall. The maka-masa mall turned into uber posh mall in Greenhills. Their accessories are just da bomb. I wanted to buy but they are pretty costly. hehe. I hope their shop here in Manila wouldn't sell stuff that high cause they won't have to spend alot for shipping unlike in Bora right?

Let's talk about Tiangge. Yep there's a lot in Bora, but I strongly suggest you take the loooooong walk 'til Station 3 (yeah i know it's faaaaaar, but it's worth it)
The less people there are, the cheaper the people sell stuff there. Take for example when I was there last November, I bought a pair of boarshorts in this tiangge area near D'Mall. P180 dude. Cheap? Not really. The next time I was there I was able to buy a pair for P140. Reversible boardshorts. When my officemates told us that there's this talipapa in station 3, I was able to buy a pair for P100.00. See the difference? hehehe. The long walk is gunna be worth it, believe me.=)
Oh, I got to buy this pair of white cheesecloth slacks for p130.00. Really cool. a Must have.
candid.

Where to hang-out
Last November had I only got the chance to hangout at Cocomangas (beachfront). Lucky to meet a cute dj (thanks Romie!). hehe. I love the place. The food is good. You must try their pizzas. Yum yum! They play the best house music there is! I think I got all the songs they played when I was there.
cocomangas
If you really really wanna shake your hump hump hump and par-tay, there's Pier One and Cocomangas (back outlet). The crowd can be jologs at times, so yeah, your choice.=p Pier One's bangenge drink is just crazy. a mix of 14 (or 16 i think) different liquors. imagine that. I wasn't even able to finish it. hehe. When I was with my officemates, we went to Cocomangas, and one of our boss had ordered their famous pizza, and this illusion shaker. shooters that's good for the whole group. You do the pouring. Though I wasn't feeling really well at that time, i really enjoyed it.=p

illusion shaker.

For the rasta wannabes, Pat's Creek Bar and Bom Bom Bar is the place. It was romie who first took me there, and then when my family and I were there, I took Joes there. Really good, especially where there are performances. How I wish I was able to catch Brown Men revival there. That'll be a blast.

What to do
Didn't do much with water activities though. Just went island hopping with the family. Didn't have the chance to try the Fly fish. If you're planning to try the Banana boat, go for the fly fish instead. Banana boat isn't that exciting, unless you force yourself to fall off the banana. I'm hoping to get on the fly fish the next time i go there. Parasailing, jetskiing, scuba diving are very costly; but if you got the moolah to waste, why not. I don't. hehe. Snorkling is good too, if you can't afford scuba diving. 8-12 feet deep is a good place to snorkle. I loved the view underwater.

For everything else, just enjoy the sun, the sand, and the beach.
Don't go home without a henna.;)
Bora is one hell of a paradise. (paradox ito?) hehe.
Though I've been to Bora thrice this year, na konti lang ang time gap, i'll never get sawa. The best pare.(",)
So when are we coming back guys?=)
